Judy Barden Sleister 79, of Grovetown, Georgia passed away at home on May 15, 2025.

She fought a long hard battle with lung cancer. She worked 18 years at Georgia Natural Gas in Augusta, Georgia.  Judy is survived by her husband of 38 years, Richard Sleister. She is also survived by one daughter Tammy Matthews Jacobs (Mickey). Three stepchildren Dawn Sleister Cobb (Jerry), Scott Sleister (Cookie) and Steven Sleister. Also surviving are grandchildren, Aubrey Jacobs Coffman (Matthew), Emma Jacobs, Amanda Yount (Jesse), Michelle Rogers (Chris), Jarrett Weathers (Cayley), Bailey Sleister, Chelsea Schritchfield (Jason) & Marley Sleister.  One brother Pierce Barden (Joyce) Washington, Georgia and one sister Libby Barden Jarvis (Bill) North Augusta, SC.  She was preceded in death by one son, Hoyt Clay Matthews and six brothers: Lee, Gene, Harris, Billy, Colvin and Roy Barden.

A memorial will be held at a later date.
