Judy Lynn Bjornson, age 62, of Evans, Georgia, passed peacefully in the morning on May 1, 2025. Born on June 23, 1962, in Chicago, Illinois, Judy touched the lives of many with her warm spirit and kind heart. Judy was predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Florence Von Bergen, and her ex-husband, Leonard Bjornson. She is lovingly remembered by her five children, Amelia, Amanda, Amos, Andrew, and Aaron; her cherished grandchildren, Brantley, Lia, Bentley, Landen, Maci, and Emma; her sisters, Kathy and Sue; her brother Ray; and her several nieces. Judy worked from a young age, first in her parents' restaurant and later as a bartender, where she made many life-long friendships. Most recently, she worked at North Aurora as a Building Services Manager, keeping the lights on at the Police Department and City Hall for many years until she retired in 2021. She was a long-time resident of Batavia, Illinois, where she lived with her love, Matt Marquis, at their home on the Fox River. In her retirement, Judy moved to Georgia and found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved the milder weather and abundant wildlife, spending many hours watching the deer and birds.  She was fond of murder mysteries, cooking, and antiques, always eager to experiment in the kitchen and pass on the recipes and skills she learned. Judy's family and friends will hold her memory dear. Her love and laughter will be greatly missed. In lieu of a funeral, a celebration of Judy's life will be held at a future date. All who knew her will be welcome to join the family and raise a glass in her memory.
