Juanette Jones Blalock, born on February 18, 1938, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026. Her life was marked by unwavering love, kindness, and dedication to her family and community, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Juanette was lovingly known as the neighborhood mom and school mom, proudly embracing not only her children's and grandchildren's friends but many others in her community as well. She was a beloved "Nena" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, embodying warmth and affection in every aspect of her life. While loving and caring, she was also known for her spirited and feisty nature, which added a unique strength to her character.

Throughout her life, Juanette found joy in many pursuits. She enjoyed thrifting, relished trips to the beach at Hilton Head, and had a passion for cooking that brought comfort and happiness to those around her. Her church family held a special place in her heart, and she treasured her beloved fur babies, who were cherished companions. Among her proudest accomplishments was her advocacy for individuals with special needs, reflecting her compassionate spirit and determination to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Juanette is survived by her devoted children: Janet Blalock, Evelyn Guilfoyle (Glenn), and Anita Averette (Dan). She also leaves behind her sister, Rachel Kohne, her sister-in-law, Barbara Jones, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members who will continue to honor her memory.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lemuel Grover Blalock; her parents, Willie Roy Jones and Ila Mae Jones; and her siblings, M.G. Jones and Norma Jones.

A visitation in remembrance of Juanette’s life will be held on April 3, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Thomas L. King Funeral Home and Cremation Services, located at 124 Davis Road, Martinez, GA 30907. This will be followed immediately by a funeral service at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Kevin Jones and Leslie Pullen officiating. Interment will follow in Bellvue Memorial Gardens. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Glenn Guilfoyle, Dan Averette, William Achi, Wayne Griffin, James Whitehead, John Whitehead, James Stanfield, and Daniel Averette. 

In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests donations be made to Kyles Kritters Inc., or to the Georgia Cancer Society. 

Juanette Jones Blalock’s enduring love, kindness, and commitment to family and community remain an inspiration. Her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with greatest respect and affection.
