Jose Monserrate Ufret-Quinones, 89, of Martinez, passed away on June 1, 2025.

The memorial service, with military honors, will be Friday, June 06, 2025 at 5:00 pm in the chapel of Thomas L. King Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Ufret served in the US Army for 20 years before retiring. Then he worked another 20 years as a Civil Service Instructor at FT Gordon.

Mr. Ufret is survived by his wife, Elli Gisela Ufret, 2 sons, Jose Fransico Ufret (Beth), and Pedro Benjamin Ufret (Jean), and a daughter, Tarynn Josey (Kyle), a brother, Franciso "Chico" Ufret (Rebecca), a sister, Sophia Catalina "Taina" Quinones, 6 grandchildren;  Ariel, Breanna, Dylan, Brittany, Logan, and Ryan, 3 great grandchildren;  AJ, Jerimah, and Boston,

Mr. Ufret was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco Ufret  and mother, Eva Margarita Quinones and also a son, Michael Alfonso,  2 sisters; Nina and Papo and 2 brothers; Fonso and Garin.
