Mr. John Franklin Rissmiller, age 70, beloved husband of Dorothy Dyer Rissmiller, entered into rest Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Select Specialty Hospital. Mr. Rissmiller was born in Pottsville, PA to the late Franklin and Anna Wiggham Rissmiller. Before his retirement, Mr. Rissmiller had been employed by Eisenhower Medical Center as a Ward Secretary. Prior to that, Mr. Rissmiller had served in the U.S. Army for 20 years, during his military career, he served in 4 tours during the Vietnam War and was awarded many medals. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, February 19, 2018 from the Chapel of Thomas L. King. Full military honors will be observed. Following the service, friends will gather until 12:00 P.M.. In addition to Mrs. Rissmiller, Mr. Rissmiller is survived by a son. Daniel Kinn (Alma) of El Paso, TX; 3 daughters, Yvette Oswalt (Gene) of Batesburg, SC, Liz Uram (Todd) of Cedar, MN, and Julie Sanftner (Terry) of Minneapolis, MN; 3 brothers, Frank Rissmiller (Audrey) of Hatboro, PA, Jimmy Rissmiller of Corpus Christi, TX, and David Rissmiller of Corpus Christi, TX; a sister, Charlene Piker (Keith) of Washington State; and 7 grandchildren.
