SGM (retired) John William Holz, beloved husband of Barbara Merrill Holz, entered into rest on December 7, 2020. A private service will be at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.

SGM Holz was born in St. Peter Minnesota on September 10, 1935 and was the son of the late Robert Holz and Martha Tetzloff Holz. He was a retired Army veteran serving two tours of duty in Vietnam and proudly serving his country for 24 years. He was a Boy Scouts Scoutmaster. and was an avid stamp, coin, and baseball card collector, and had loved watching college basketball. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Carol Merrill. In addition o his wife he is survived by his two sons- Kevin Holz, of Martinez, and Christopher (Robin) Holz, of Evans, his daughter Lynne Holz, of Martinez, and three grandchildren Cameron (Madalyn) Holz, Austin Holz, and Morgan Holz. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to First Baptist Church of Evans. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Thomas L. King Funeral Home and Cremation Service
