Mr. John West Harper, 75, of Augusta, Georgia, entered into rest surrounded by his family on Friday, August 19, 2022. Born in Charleston, West Virginia, he spent his early years in many different places until finally settling down in Bush, Louisiana. He was a college Professor of Economics and World History until he settled into working for a government agency as an investigator until his retirement. He was a giant among men, known for his beautiful heart, sense of humor and generosity. Most people who met him even once never forgot him. He was a devoted husband most of all, but was also always a committed father and grandfather. Family members include, his wife of 55 years, Mrs. Sheila Harper of Augusta, GA; His children, Ms. Tania Green (Darren) of Augusta, GA and Mr. John W. Harper II (Celise) of Alexandria, LA; Three grandchildren, Yasmine Pavri (Jakin), Blake Emma Pavri and Izzy Green all of Augusta, GA; and His cousin, Ann Laign of Myrtle Beach, SC. He will also be very sadly missed by Neville Pavri and Yezdi Pavri, along with so many others whose lives he touched.
