John Patrick Ayres, 70, of Augusta, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2026.

Pat was a long-time resident of Augusta, and a 1974 graduate of Butler High School. He was a retired truck driver, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Elmarina Ayres; and his siblings, Barry Ayres and Paula Ayres.

Survivors include his daughter, Laura Rakas Harrigan; siblings, Vicki Mitchell and Lee Ayres (Janice); sister-in-law, Peggy Ayres; his grandson, Harvey Rakas; and his niece, Jessica Mitchell.
