Mr. John Roy Aycox 82, beloved husband for 62 years to Constance Hill Aycox, entered into rest Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Doctors Hospital. Mr. Aycox was born in Jefferson County to the late Homer and Kathleen Peebles Aycox. He was a member of Christ Way Christian Church, a member of Circle M Hunting Club, and an avid outdoors-man. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from the Chapel of Bellevue Memorial Gardens with Pastor Barry Clanton officiating. Pallbearers are Jeff Moomey, Stephen Gambrell, Mark Strickland, Nick Faulkner, Mike Burns, and Brad Doran. In addition to his wife, Mr. Aycox is survived by a son, John Kevin Aycox (Melissa) of Martinez, GA; a sister, Louise Hardy of Thomson, GA; 2 grandchildren, Parsley Edmunds and Tyler Aycox. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Augusta, 106 SRP Drive A, Evans, GA 30809.
