GROVETOWN, Ga. - Entered into rest at Doctors Hospital on Sept. 5, 2014, Mrs. Jo Ann Powell, wife of Mr. Allen Jerry Powell of Grovetown, Ga. Mrs. Powell was retired from the Kroger Co. She was born in Gibson, Ga. to the late "Rooks" and Marion P. Logue. She was a member of the Bellevue Baptist Church. Survivors: husband, Allen Jerry Powell; three sons, Russell Williams and wife Christina, Frank Williams and wife Cheryl, Allen Powell Jr. and wife Melissa; one daughter, Heather Hanks and husband Dustin; brother-in-law, Warren Pittman; seven grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Monday, Sept. 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bellevue Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Pittman officiating. Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Powell will lie in state at the church one hour prior to service. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Thomas L. King Funeral Home
