Mr. Jimmy Thompson Blum, age 70, beloved husband of Linda Blackstone Blum, entered into rest Monday, May 28, 2018 at home surrounded by loved ones. Mr. Blum was born in McCormick, SC to the late Waddie and Ruth Powell Blum. He was the owner of Classic Landscaping and a member of Rocky Branch Golf Course. Mr. Blum was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother and will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Shiloh United Methodist Church, 5970 Cobbham Rd., Appling, GA with Reverend Shirley Suarez officiating. In addition to his wife, Mr. Blum is also survived by 2 daughters, Kimberly Blum Marty (Scott) of Atlanta, GA and Jennifer Blum Greene (Tony) of Martinez, GA; a sister, Janice Simmons of Martinez, GA; a sister in law, Sherry Loyal (Dan) of Grovetown, GA; and 5 grandchildren, Reilly, Reese, Ethan, Rose, and John. The family will have a Celebration of Life Visitation, at the church, following the memorial service.
