Jessie Paul Evans, 63, entered into rest on Thursday, March 16, 2023.

Jessie was born in Stuart, FL on February 15, 1960. At the age of three, he moved to Fort Lauderdale, where he grew up and received his education in the Broward County School System. He moved to Woonsocket, Rhode Island, where his two sons were born, eventually moving back to Fort Lauderdale. In 2017, he settled in Augusta, GA, where he resided until his death.

He is survived by his sons, Nathaniel Evans of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Javon Evans of Augusta, GA; mother, Louise Evans of Augusta, GA; sisters, Ruth Griner of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Janice (Robert) Safford of Hephzibah, GA; brothers, Willie Coney of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Jessie (Erma Jean) Evans of Atlanta, GA, Willie (Evelyn) Evans of Augusta, GA, Lamar (Nadia) Evans of Henderson, NV, and Elzie Evans of Ocala, FL; 19 nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends for a celebration of life visitation from 1:00 - 3:00pm on Friday, March 24, 2023, at Thomas L. King Funeral Home, 124 Davis Road, Martinez, GA 30907.
