Mr. Jessie Floyd Addison, Jr., 85, beloved husband of Harlene Hitchcock Addison, entered into rest Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Doctors Hospital. Mr. Addison was born in Moultrie, GA to the late Jessie F. and Dorothy Clements Addison, Sr. A Celebration of Life Visitation will be Monday, January 22, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Addison served in the U.S. Army for 21 years and during that time he served in the Korean and Vietnam War. Later he retired from the FAA as a Radar Technician. Mr. Addison was a member of Abilene Baptist Church, an avid reader, golf fan and GA BULLDAWG Fan. He was a gentle, kind, and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and will be greatly missed by all that knew him. In addition to his parents, Mr. Addison is also preceded in death by a sister, Margie Garnto. In addition to his wife. Mr. Addison is also survived by 4 sons, Jeffery Addison of Barboursville, WV, Jerome Addison (Rita) of Charleston, SC, Steve Chase (Lisa) of Tallahassee, FL, and Jeremy Addison (Brittany) of Augusta; 4 daughters, Sondra Blume (David) of Wyoming, MI, Kathy Davis (Tommy) of Edgefield, SC, Lori Angelisanti (Mark) of Martinez, GA, and Beth Ufret (Jose) of Augusta; a sister, Mildred Rogers of Moultrie, GA, 18 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
