MARTINEZ, Ga. - Entered into rest at Doctors Hospital on December 17, 2013, Jeffrey E. Thompson, beloved husband of Mrs. Jessica McQuillen Thompson. Jeffrey was born in Augusta, Ga. to Mr. James E. and Marca Davis Thompson, Sr. He worked for the Richmond County Sheriff s Dept. until his medical retirement. During his illness, he was strong and was a fighter. He never lost his sense of humor. He was also funny and put on a a good fight. He was preceded in death by his sister, Janice Thompson. Survivors: wife, Jessica Thompson; 2 daughters, Ashlee Thompson and Lauren Thompson; parents, James and Marca Thompson, Sr.; brothers, James (Buz) Thompson, Jr. and Joe (Kim) Thompson; nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held on Friday, December 20, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in Bellevue Memorial Gardens with Mr. Kevin McQuillen and Chaplain Kenneth Gross officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight between the hours of 6 to 8 p.m. Pallbearers: Mike Hubert, Robert Davis, Bruce Williams, Ben Rollins, William Hornsby, Josh Bogdanow, Chris Langford and Eric Napier.
