Entered into rest on January 23, 2019, Mrs. Jeanette B. Owens of Augusta, GA. Mrs. Owens was born in Sylvania, GA to the late Pete and Norma Batchelor. She was a retired textile worker at Sibley Mill. She was preceded in death by her Husband George Wallace Owens, and a son George Thomas Owens. Survivors include 3 sons George Dale Owens, Roger Owens, and Randy Wallace all of Augusta, 3 daughters Christeen Nelson of Laurens SC, Janet Holaway of Augusta, and Sherry Lawton of Aiken SC, one brother Harry Batchelor of Sylvania GA, one sister Ida Mae McKinney of Sylvania GA, 12 grandchilderen, and 21 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday January 28, 2019 1:00 P.M. at Bay Branch Church Sylvania, GA with Rev. Jerry Owens officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Owens will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church. The family will receive friends on Sunday January 27, 2019 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
