Mrs. Jean Carolyn Seaman Reed 90, beloved wife of the late Kenneth R. Reed, entered into rest Thursday, June 8, 2017 at home surrounded by her loved ones. Mrs. Reed was born in Warren, PA to the late Walter and Mildred Johnson Seaman. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 26, 2017 at Advent Lutheran Church, 3232 Washington Rd, Augusta, GA, with Pastors Andrea and Jason Peterson officiating. There will be a reception following the service. Mrs. Reed was preceded in death by a son, Gary Alan Reed. She is survived by 4 sons, Ronald J. Reed (Kristine) of NY, Russell B. Reed (Deb) of MO, Richard K. Reed (Lynn) of GA, and David W. Reed (Maureen) of NY; one daughter, Kendra Reed Meighan (Mike) of VA; a daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Reed; 2 sisters, Ruth Seaman of GA and Patricia Butts and her husband Mike, of FL; 11 grandchildren, Christopher, Andrew, Matthew, Nicholas, Gary, Kimberly and Thomas Reed, Timothy, Amanda, Tyler and Alyssa Meighan and 2 great grandchildren, Harper and Ellis Reed. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
