IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James
Yanak
January 1, 1969 – April 13, 2025
James "Jim" Yanak, 56, of Grovetown, passed away on April 13, 2025.
Jim was a carpenter by trade and was employed with the Local 283. He always took his time to make sure he did the job right. A truly funny and unforgettable character, Jim, had a way of turning the ordinary into something joyful. His sense of humor was one of a kind quick, clever, and often unexpected, just like him. He enjoyed being outdoors, and his plants. Jim was a very devoted father; he would do anything for his son, always making sure Tyler had what he needed and even more. Jim will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
He is preceded in death by his father, Stephen Yanak, and his siblings, Bryan Yanak and Michelle Simone.
Survivors include his son, Tyler Yanak; his mother, Leah Yanak; siblings, Stephen Yanak and Gerald Battaglia (Allyson), and Nicol Burchfield (Rick); nephews, Stephen, Dominic, Anthony, and Michael; aunt, Judy Fustos; and his cousin, Amy Fustos.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Monday, April 21, 2025, in the Thomas L. King Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Vincent Vodjogbe celebrant. Interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:30 at the funeral home prior to the service on Monday. Pallbearers will be Frank Leogrande, Edward Salazar, Stephen Yanak, Ryan McCoy, Dale Wisneski, A.J. Jackson, and Joe Tedder.
