Mr. James Edward Woods entered into rest Friday, November 9, 2018 at University Hospital. Mr. Woods was born in Savannah, GA. He attended Savannah High School and Armstrong Junior College. He has made Martinez his home since 1975. He served our country in the U.S. Navy in the Korean War Honorably with the 7th Fleet and was a member of the American Legion Post # 192. Mr. Woods had been in the insurance business for over 40 years, the last 26 years with his own multi-lines agency. He was a member of One Way Baptist Church, renamed Day Spring Baptist Church. Mr. Woods was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anne Smith Woods, his daughter, Traci Leigh Woods Borrish. Mr. Woods is survived by 2 grandsons, Mitchell Young and Joey Young, both of McDonough, GA, 1 great granddaughter, McKenzie Young of McDonough, GA, and several nieces and nephews. Graveside service and interment will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 16, 2018 in the "Garden of the Last Supper Section" of Forrest Lawn Memory Gardens, Chatham County, GA, Savannah, GA. Thomas L.
