Mr. James Carleton Purks, Jr., 61, beloved husband of Kimberly Boyd Purks, entered into rest Wednesday, April 19, 2017. Mr. Purks was born in Augusta, GA to the late James C. and Edith Purks, Sr. Funeral services will be graveside at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, April 24, 2017 at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Pastor Dewain French officiating. Pallbearers are Michael Huls, Chuck Musgrove, Joey Lane, Chris Williams, Chuck Carter, and Robert Osterbrink. In addition to his parents, Mr. Purks is also preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Wilson and a sister, Linda Gail Hurt. In addition to his wife, Mr. Purks is also survived by a daughter, Chelsea Purks of Grovetown, GA; son, Michael Huls, wife Tammy, of Aiken, SC; two sisters, Ollie Tolbert of Belvedere, SC and Sarah Purks of Gracewood, GA. The family will receive friends Monday, April 24, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Florist deadline is Monday at 1:00 p.m. Thomas L.
