MARTINEZ, Ga. - Entered into rest Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Lake Crossing Health Center, Mr. James H. Parrish, Sr., 77. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Thomas L. King Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dave Dillard officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before service at the funeral home. James was born in Augusta, Ga. He served 18 1/2 years with honor in the U.S. Army and was in the Korean War and Vietnam. James farmed in the Barnwell, S.C. area after his retirement and returned to the Martinez area. James was preceded in death by his parents, Chesley H. Parrish and Edna Ross Parrish. Survivors include: son, James C. Parrish; daughter, Andrea Parrish; brothers, Chesley R. Parrish, William L. Parrish, Roy Parrish, Hugh Parrish; sisters, Martha Heard, Lynda Parrish; grandson, James H. Parrish; great grandchild, Ava Renee Parrish. Florist, deliver Saturday after 9 a.m. Thomas L.
