EVANS, Ga. - Entered into rest at Doctors Hospital on April 7, 2015, Mr. James "Sarge" Mills, husband of the late Louise Greene Mills of Evans. Mr. Mills was the son of the late Henry and Anna Crawford Mills. He served in the Army during World War II. He was retired from the T. M. Nichols Construction Co. and Columbia County Building Inspector Department. He was a faithful member of Central Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his brother, Harry Mills, and other brothers and sisters. Survivors: two daughters, Patsy Johnson, Evans and Judy Martin, Appling; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Central Christian Church in Augusta on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Rev. Emmitt Tip Carroll officiating. Interment will be in Westview Cemetery. Mr. Mills will lie in state at the church from 9:30 until time of service. Pallbearers: James Gregory Johnson, Christopher Mills Johnson, J.D. Peel III, Chad F. Martin, Robert G. Combs, Jr., Creg M.
