EVANS, Ga. - Entered into rest at University Hospital on November 16, 2013, Mr. James R. Smith Jr., husband of Mrs. Dorothy L. Smith of Evans, Ga. Mr. Smith was retired from the U.S. Army. He is the son of Wanda M. Smith and the late James R. Smith Sr. Survivors: wife, Dorothy Smith; mother, Wanda M. Smith; 1 son, Randall L. Smith; 1 daughter, Cami S. Bassett; 1 sister, Gloria Seigler; a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren; stepchildren, Steve Josey, Wayne Josey, April Pitts, Jeffery Hudson. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. in the Thomas L. King Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Michael Davenport officiating.
