Mr, James "Jimmy" Gilpin, 70, of Augusta, passed away on July 28, 2025.

Jimmy originally from Michigan was a longtime resident of Augusta. He was known as a great salesman which led to a long career with Orkin Pest Control. When not working playing pool was a longtime passion of his with 9 ball being his favorite. He was part of the community at the Rack & Grill and enjoyed playing in many tournaments. He also enjoyed playing blackjack. His family was of upmost importance to him especially his beloved wife of 44 years, Connie, who he is now reunited with again. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

In addition to his wife he is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ethel Gilpin; his granddaughter, Angel Gilpin; and his great granddaughter, Ami Gilpin.

Survivors include his children, Chris "Shawn" Gilpin (Cathy), and Crystal May (Beau); his brother, Mark Gilpin (Tina Hoover); longtime friends, Rene and Denise Vadnais; 4 grandchildren, Jacob and Matthew May, and Tiffany and Heather Gilpin; as well as several nieces nephews and other family members.

A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Thomas L. King Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
