James N. Collins, 72, of Augusta, Georgia, passed away peacefully at Augusta University Heart & Vascular Hospital. Born on December 13, 1952, in Cumberland, Maryland, James lived a full and devoted life, touching the hearts of everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Collins, and his children: Ryan, Brett, Emily, and John Collins. He was also a loving stepfather to Sandra Belin, Susan Wright, and Stephanie Leighty. He was a proud grandfather to four grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Wes and Sue Collins, his sister Shirley Shenk, and his brother John Collins. He is survived by his sister, Snooky Yoder.

James grew up in Pinto and Cumberland, Maryland, and later lived in Sarasota, Florida, and Georgia. He attended college and spent his career working as a driver for UPS. A dedicated worker and friend, James was also known for his deep love of golf and all things sports.

A memorial service to celebrate James's life will be held on Saturday, May 31, at 11:00 AM at Southern Pines Baptist Church, 4289 Southern Pines Drive, Evans, GA.

Arrangements are being handled by Thomas L. King Funeral Home, 124 Davis Rd., Martinez, GA 30907.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Southern Pines Baptist Church, a place that held special meaning for James.
