Retired Civil Engineer MARTINEZ, Ga. - Entered into rest Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Doctors Hospital. Mr. James K. Barner, Sr., 92, husband of the late Mrs. Joy Stroud Barner. A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, September 27 at 3:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. Dewain French officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the graveside. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. James was born in Savannah, Ga. He served with Honor in the U.S. Army Aircorps during WWII. James was a life long member and past Master of Masonic Lodge #693 in Thunderbolt, Ga. He was preceded in death by his son, James K.
