On April 10, 2017, Mr. Jairo (Bert) Humberto Lopez Jr., 39 years old, of Martinez, Ga., left us and went to be with our Lord. He is survived by his father - Jairo Morris Lopez Sr.; 3 sons - Damien Isiah Glisson, Jairo Daniel Lopez and Elijah Humberto Lopez; 1 brother - George Abraham Lopez; 2 sisters - Valerie and Nicole Lopez; grandmothers - Mary Godbee and Lily Pedetti; aunts and uncles - Tammy Andrews, Dianne and Bob Cooley, Frank and Sylvia Godbee, William Morris; and a host of cousins and a tremendous amount of friends, and his best friend Brittany Glesson. He was preceded in death by his mother Gwendolyn Gail Godbee Lopez. He was a graduate of Imperial High School and attended Augusta Technical School. He was a landscaper and enjoyed working outdoors and spending time with his children. He was a member of Crawford Ave. Church of God. A service will be held today at 4:00 p.m. in the Thomas L. King Chapel with Pastor Bryan Cockrell officiating. The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home. There will be no interment.
