Norris Electric and Appliance Co. EVANS, Ga. - Mr. Jack Norris, husband of the late Frances M. Norris of Evans, entered into rest at his residence on May 26, 2013. Mr. Norris was born in Columbia County to the late Willie and Carrie Lou Norris. He was the owner of the Norris Electric and Appliance Co. in Evans. He served in the U. S. Army in WWII and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Evans. He was a charter member of the Columbia County Game and Fish Club, Inc. He was preceded in death by his siblings, JD, Dub, Omega, Betty Jo, Benny and Pierce. Survivors include a son, Freddie (Sandy) Norris; two daughters, Jackie (Billy) Pou and Becky (Terry) Robb; sister, Rachel Robertson; five grandchildren, Lee Harper, Alyson Berry, Jason Norris, Josh Robb, Matt Franklin, and Sammy Pou; seven great grandchildren, Tanner, Michael, Emily, Carter, Isabell, Hunter and Logan; and a special care giver, Mary Williams. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 in the Bellvue Memorial Chapel at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Dan Jones officiating. Family will receive friends starting at 1 p.m. until time of service. Interment will be in the Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be, Lee Harper, Jason Norris, Matt Franklin, Josh Robb, Sammy Pou, Bob Robertson and Robbie Robertson.
