Ismael "Izzy" Rodriguez III, 59, of Marinez, Ga., entered the gates of heaven December 1, 2025.

Born in Brooklyn,  NY to the late Ismael Rodriguez,  Jr. and the late Brigid Kennedy Rodriguez.

Ismael graduated from Jackson High School, Jackson, NJ in 1984. After graduation, Ismael joined the United States Army serving from 1984-1990, as a unit clerk. In 1990, Ismael joined the Pike County Sheriff's Office in Pike County, Pa. After moving to Georgia, Ismael worked with the Department of Justice as a Corrections Officer.

In February 2000, Ismael met his wife Kathy, on a blind date. They married in 2002 and moved from NYS to Georgia in 2003.

Ismael is survived by his wife, Kathy (Van Aken) Rodriguez.  Sons- Joshua and Joseph. Brothers- Marc Rodriguez and wife Waiyee, Greg Rodriguez and wife Jessica. Best friend of 30 years- Brian Boehm and wife Monica, aunts, uncles, cousins and furbabies- Brendle and Star.

In addition to his parents, Ismael was preceded in death by Carol Rodriguez (step mother), Ronald and Natalie VanAken (in-laws) and furbaby Honey Girl.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Martinez Methodist Church at 12 noon. Family will receive friends 1 hour before service at 11 AM.
