IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ingrid L.
(Wegener) Turner
March 31, 1938 – July 20, 2022
Ms. Ingrid L. Turner, 84, went home peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior in Heaven on Wednesday, July 20, 2022. She was a native daughter of Berlin, Germany. She had made Evans, GA her home since 1978. She had a career in banking, childcare and being a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family, enjoying the holidays and family get-togethers. She enjoyed going to the beach, cooking, photography, taking care of animals, caring for the elderly, supporting charitable organizations, and putting others before herself. She was a member of the Martinez United Methodist church for more than 40 years and loved the cooking crew. She always loved the art of an enjoyable conversation. She greeted each day with a good cup of coffee, watching nature in her backyard. Her bright, spunky personality and infectious smile always put you at ease.
She was a loving and caring wife of 55 years to her late husband, Walton I. Turner, and mother to the late Richard F. Turner, and surviving children Doris Turner Collins (husband John), Dolores Turner Pearson (husband Michael), Nathan T. Turner (wife Emmi), and Jason S. Turner (wife Heather). She has three grandchildren, Sara Collins Powell (husband Hanson Redwine Powell III), Alex Collins (wife Ali), and Jessalyn Pearson Mitchem (husband Devin Mitchem), along with five great-grandchildren, Ansleigh, Callison, Kaylee, Ashton, and Avery. She also has a surviving brother, Reiner Wegener, who resides in London, England.
No memorial plans are set at this time.
