Hughey James Williamson "Jimmie", 89, died at the Augusta War Memorial Nursing Home in Augusta, GA, on October 5, 2024, where he resided for 6 1/2 years. He was a long-time resident of Warner Robins, GA. Jimmie was born on May 17, 1935, and raised in Green Sea, SC. He was a fisherman at heart, and he could tell fish stories for hours. He served in the Air Force for 12 years during the Vietnam era and was awarded a Bronze Star.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, Alma and Ottis Williamson; his brother, Maxie Williamson; sister, Irene Gause; grandson, James Tadlock; and his long-time companion of 30 years, Lola Bananto. He is survived by two daughters, Sharon Stone (Lee) of Mt. Holly, NC, and Cindy Tadlock (Steve) of Belmont, NC; granddaughter, Tammy; two great-grandchildren; sister, Althea Nelson of Mooresville, NC; and sister-in-law, Marguerite Williamson of Green Sea, SC. A graveside service will be held later at Green Sea Baptist Church Cemetery. His family wished he could have enjoyed that one last fishing trip he always dreamed of.
