Driggers, Jr. AUGUSTA, Ga. - Hershell "Wayne" Driggers, Jr., 56, of Wheeless Road Augusta, GA, entered into rest on July 07, 2016 at his home. He was born on March 08, 1960, son of Glenda McPherson and the late Hershell Wayne Driggers. Wayne was a 1979 graduate of Westside High School who played football. He is survived by the mother of his children, Elizabeth Eileen Brown; 4 daughters, Christian D. O'Campo (Jorge), Crystal V. Driggers, Rebekkah Bennett (Charlie), Melissa Pearson (Derrick); and son, Matthew Orr. His mother, Glenda McPherson; 2 brothers, Maverick McPherson and Carl Driggers; 3 sisters, Madeira McPherson, Carol Driggers, Charlotte Merrell. His loving grandchildren include Elena and Jayden O'Campo, RaeKwon Bennett, Madison and Rachel Orr. He was employed by Vic at Dukes Auto Service as a mechanic and previously worked at Regency Tire Center for 15 years. While Wayne enjoyed sports and hunting, he was an avid NASCAR fan. He was always there for his family and friends and was loved by many. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him, but the bond with the daily people in his life at Gooney's Bar & Grill are unmatched. Wayne left an imprint on each of our lives, and for that reason, we will all carry him with us. The pallbearers are Victor Dukes, Wesley Ussery, Nick McGowan, Ralph Williams, Philip Martin, Jaime Urbanik, Joe Spencer, and Russell Deas. The family will receive friends between 6 and 8 p.m. at Thomas L. King Funeral Home on Davis Road on July 15, 2016. The funeral will be held at Thomas L. King Funeral Home Chapel on July 16, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Westover Cemetery.Thomas L.
