On August 4th 2022 at 4:30AM - "The Pearly Gates" of Heaven, now painted hot pink and festooned with lovely bows and plenty of extra Bling, opened wide to welcome our Ms. Gloria Jean inside!!! Though greatly saddened at our loss in this space, Heaven is about to become a more beautiful place! - First, by the addition of Ms. Gloria herself, and secondly because of the massive redecoration project that is surely about to begin!

Born to L.M. and "Miss Kitty" Jowers in Tallahassee Florida, Gloria and her Mother soon moved to Augusta Georgia and since has been a lifelong resident. She graduated Richmond Academy with a degree in Cosmetology and spent the next 57 years as truly one of the nation's legendary hair artists freely giving of her talents through industry shows and classes from coast to coast.

Gloria is the mother of two sons - Michael Todd Timmerman (deceased) by husband Mike Timmerman, and Boston Daniels with husband Myron Daniels.

Gloria owned and operated many salons in the Augusta area and came back home to be a Star member of the Salon Glitz team since early 2021.

She loved her church- Grace Fellowship of Augusta- and its pastors Brian Fields and Wade Trimmer. The two pastors will co-officiate her memorial celebration at 3:00PM on Sunday, September 18, 2022, at Grace Fellowship of Augusta, 1725 Sibley Road. Family and friends will visit at the church immediately following the service.
