Glenda S. Willingham, 89, of Appling, Georgia, passed away on October 6, 2024.

Glenda was born in Swainsboro, Georgia, July 14, 1935 to Jesse and Doris Smith. Glenda grew up in Swainsboro, Georgia. In her teens she moved to Augusta, Georgia, where she met and married William H. Willingham. Together they raised four children. Glenda was a homemaker and our family matriarch. She was selfless and always had something to share with loved ones without consideration for her own wants or needs. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly. When and if an occasion arose, she was a relentless "Mama Bear". Glenda's determination, fire and love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will be remembered by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn "Faye" Davidson; and her brother, John "Pete" Smith.

Glenda is survived by her children, Elise Michelle White of Jacksonville, FL, William H. "Billy" Willingham, Jr. of McCormick, SC, Gregory "Jay" Willingham (Laura) of Augusta, GA, and Stanley Wayne "Stan" Willingham (Robin) of Appling, GA; her grandchildren, Adriane White Endress, Katherine White Bellmore, James William White, Jessica Willingham Clark, Amber Willingham Todd, William Hugh Willingham III, Daniel Jay Willingham, Erin Sumner Willingham, Holly Michelle Willingham, Destiny Willingham Hawkins, and Stanley Wayne Willingham, Jr.; and her great-grandchildren, Alexandria Elise Taylor, Lewis Benjamin Taylor, Ava Marie Endress, Lilyann Grace White, Beau Jameson White, Trevor Gage Lack, Hannah Alexis Clark, William Keith Todd, and Magnolia Jane Hawkins.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, October 19, 2024, in the chapel at Thomas L. King Funeral Home, 124 Davis Road, Martinez GA 30907, with burial immediately following at Bellevue Memorial Gardens, 4501 Wrightsboro Road, Grovetown GA 30813.

Pallbearers will be James William White, William H. Willingham, III, Daniel J. Willingham, Stanley Wayne Willingham, Jr., Trevor Gage Lack and Lewis Benjamin Taylor, III.
