Gina Renee “Gina/Mom/Grandma/Nanny” Kersey, passed away on September 12, 2026, in Augusta, Georgia. She was born on January 10, 1964, in Augusta, Georgia, and remained closely connected to the place where her life began.

Mrs. Kersey will be remembered by her children, Frankie Reynolds, Tiffany Reynolds, and Heather Reynolds; her grandchildren, Jasper Reynolds and Krystal Reynolds, Kyle Rushton and Kylie Rushton, Elizabeth Reynolds and Devin Woods, Anna Reynolds and Jordan Kelly, Lavin Sweat, Shyann Norton, Kathryn Reynolds, Joselynn Reynolds, Waylynn White, Essence Reynolds, and Remie White; and her great-grandchildren, Jaxon Owens, Kaiston Hightower, Kash Rushton, Roman Kelly, Keenan Sweat, Aliyah Kelly, and Zayden Woods. She is also remembered by her sisters, Pamela Black of Augusta, Georgia, and Tammy Gray of Summerville, South Carolina, and by her niece, Rachel Chastain.

She was preceded in death by her brother, John C. Sweatman Jr.

Gina enjoyed fishing, arts and crafts, playing pool, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. These interests were a meaningful part of her life and reflected the time she shared with those around her.

Her life touched many across generations of family, and her memory will remain with those who knew and loved her. In the words shared in her honor, “I love you to the moon and back!”
