Gertrude Fleishmann Schaffran, Wife, mother, Grandmother and Great- grandmother at 93 had a fulfilling life, left us suddenly at home on April 7, 2026. Born in Lenzing, Austria on 2-25-1933. Gertrude (Trudi) married Erwin William Schaffran in 1951 and came to America in 1955 with Erwin and 3-year-old son William Karl to Cincinnati Ohio, where their second son Erwin Paul was born in 1957.

Gertrude retired from Leather Specialty as a Supervisor in 1995 when Erwin and Trudi moved to Appling GA to enjoy their golden years. They enjoyed an active life, and as members of the German Club where Trudi loved to bake for club functions.

Erwin passed on December 14, 2012, and Erwin Paul passed on November 11, 2025. Gertrude is survived by Son William, Grandchildren William Karl II, Whitney Marie Kimber, Joshua Paul, Gregory Michael and Nicholas Ryan Schaffran, Great-grandchildren Evelyn Lee Ann, Barrett Joseph Kimber and Aaron Ryker Charles Schaffran.

Service will be held in the Sanctuary at St. Teresa of Avail Parish in Grovetown on May 11, 2026, at 1PM. The family will receive friends and acquaintances after the memorial service in the Bereavement Hall.
