Geraldine Hensley Weathers, 88, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 13, 2023.

Gerry, or Nanny as she was known by her family, was born to Dewey and Lena Hensley in Orr, Kentucky, and was one of 8 children. Gerry loved her big family. She always had her front door unlocked and opened her home to anyone who needed it. She will be remembered for so many things, including her handmade dance costumes, dolls, her sweet tea, and of course, her home cooked meals that brought the family together. Geraldine had a fire and passion in her that was passed down through the generations. Through the family's pain and sorrows, she always stayed strong and took care of everyone.

Geraldine is survived by her three sons, David Weathers (Rick), Gerald 'Scott' Weathers (Von), and Jeffrey Weathers (Bonnie); her daughter, Lisa Weathers; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Weathers; daughter, Kimberly Weathers; granddaughter, Jennifer Weathers; and grandson, Miles Rosser.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, December 18, 2023, in the chapel at Thomas L. King Funeral Home, 124 Davis Road, Martinez GA 30907, with Pastor Dewain French officiating, and with interment immediately following at Bellevue Memorial Gardens, 4501 Wrightsboro Road, Grovetown GA 30813. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service time.
