Obituary

Geraldine Mae Burch, born January 1, 1937, in Los Angeles, California, as the first girl of the New Year to Gerald and Helen Ragsdale, passed away on October 20, 2024. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and caregiver, who lived most of her life in Augusta, GA, and later resided in North Augusta, SC.

Known for her love and care, Geraldine dedicated much of her life to caregiving. She was a long-time Sunday School teacher and faithfully attended Bible study until the last few months of her life. In her earlier years, she enjoyed making dolls and baby blankets. Her favorite color was purple, a vibrant reminder of her loving spirit. Geraldine will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her son, Douglas Wayne Santrock; her grandson, Christopher Reeves; and her great-grandson, Colton Brown.

Survivors include her children, Lea Ann Day (Harvey), Timothy Santrock (Tina), Eugene Santrock, Daniel Santrock (Robin), and Teresa Kitchens (Jimmy). Geraldine was immensely proud of her family, including her grandchildren, Brandon Reeves (Melinda), Jennifer Androyna (Michael), Danielle Tudor (Steve), Timothy Santrock Jr., Missy Moore (LeeRoy), Amy Heilig (Josh), Tasha Deel (RJ), Envira Knierim (John), Lauren Harbin (Dykes), John Moxley (Hannah), and Hunter Kitchens; 37 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great- grandchildren.

A devotional and prayer will be led by Ronnie Faircloth. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at The Ledges, 550 Sikes Ave., North Augusta SC 29842, followed by a family dinner. Florist please deliver flowers to The Ledges.
