Mr. Gary Lewis Walters, Sr. 74, beloved husband of Mrs. Nancy Clements Walters, entered into rest Sunday, January 15, 2017 at home surrounded by his loved ones. Mr. Walters was born in Altoona, PA to the late Leroy and Mary Gray Walters. He had served in the Army and later retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass and then worked for 10 years for Avis car Rental. Mr. Walters was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints and had been awarded the Order of the Arrow by the Boy Scouts of America. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2017 at the Chapel of Thomas L. King Funeral Home with Minister Jay Craft and Bishop David Teal officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In addition to Mr. Walter's parents, he is also preceded in death by a son, Gary Lewis Walters, Jr. and a brother, Marlin Walters. Additional survivors include 2 sons, Troy Walters (Millisa) of Lexington, SC and Eric Walters (Maren) of Germany; a daughter, Carolyn Hackett (Terrance) of Copperas Cove, TX, a daughter-in-law, Angie Walters of Hephzibah, GA, a brother, Roy Walters (Shirley) of Duncansville, PA; 2 sisters, Arlene Walters of Duncansville, PA and Debbie McCulley (Ed) of Duncansville, PA, a sister in law, Nancy Walters of Florida; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
