Fred Jester Jr. of Appling, GA entered into rest on January 30th, 2022 at his home in Appling, GA after a long battle with many health issues. He is survived by his wife, Kay Luckey Jester of Appling, GA, his daughter, Melissa Newsome of North Augusta(Douglas), Troy Burke of Appling, GA (Teresa) and Stacy Bryant of Lincolnton, GA (Shane).He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia Andrews.

Fred was born April, 3rd 1946, he grew up in Harrisburg and retired from the Local 709 Iron Workers Union. Fred enjoyed country music, beer, fishing, shooting pool and trips to the mountains. The family would like to give a special thank you to the Remain at Home Nursing Care. Especially Fred's nurses for 7 years, Sue, Stacy and Nancy Hanson for their dedication and commitment. They took excellent care of him and loved him like family.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 -12:00noon on Wednesday, February 2nd, 2022, at Thomas L. King Funeral Home, 124 Davis Rd, Martinez, GA 30907, followed by a graveside burial at 1:30pm at West View Cemetery, 2051 Division St., Augusta, GA 30904.
