Frank Charles Johnston, 94, entered into rest on Friday, September 15, 2023.

Frank Charles Johnston was a remarkable man. He was not only a brother, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, but also a friend to many. His 94 years on this earth were filled with love, service, and virtue. One of the most admirable aspects of Frank's character was his unwavering loyalty and devotion to his wife, Edith Estelle Johnston. For 55 years, he loved and cherished her, showing the world what true commitment looks like. Their love was a shining example for all who knew them. Frank served his country with honor and great pride for 21 years. He answered the call of duty and dedicated himself to protecting and serving his fellow citizens. His selflessness and bravery are qualities that will always be respected and remembered. As a father, Frank raised a family of three, Cliff, Gene, and Sallie, with love and care. He was a dedicated dad, always there to support and guide his children. His presence and influence in their lives will forever be cherished.

Frank Charles Johnston was a good man. A man of integrity, great pride, gratitude, and love. His life was filled with countless admirable qualities that will be deeply missed. He leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and friendship that will continue to inspire all who knew him. Rest in peace, dear Frank.

Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 11:00am on Monday, September 18, 2023, at Westover Memorial Park, 2601 Wheeler Road, Augusta GA 30904.

In lieu of flowers the family asks consideration of the following causes for donations to be made in Franks memory:
