Mrs. Frances Helen Bell Wingfield of Martinez, Georgia passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018. She was the daughter of Helen Avery Bell Lawrence and Curtis Jewel Bell. After the death of her father, her married Allen Lawrence who she called "Papa". She graduated from Morgan County High School and attended Young Harris College and Middle Tennessee University. In 1963 she married Samuel Barnett Wingfield. She was employed by the Medical College of Georgia for 30 years. She was a member of Warren Baptist Church in Martinez. Frances leaves one aunt, Nancy Avery and many cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Curtis Bell, her mother, Helen Lawrence, her step-father, Allen Lawrence, her sister, Lee Ann Bell Cunningham, two uncles, Hugh and Pete Avery and one aunt, Anna Avery. A graveside service will be held at the Madison City Cemetery on Monday, April 9, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Jim Ross officiating. Thomas L.
