Mrs. Evelyn Annette Gay Brown, 83, wife of the late James R. Brown, of Harlem GA, entered into rest on June 9, 2021. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 11:00 AM, at Westview Cemetery Augusta, with Pastor Clayton Galloway officiating.

Mrs. Brown was born on January 31, 1938 and was the daughter of the late Florence Allen Gay and Willie Rickerson Gay. She had worked as a CNA before her retirement.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by three brothers- Edwin Gay, James Gay, and Freddie S. Gay, two sisters- Ruby G. Eubanks, and Hazel G. Beckworth. Survivors include her children James L. Brown, Gerald Brown, and Judy Hefty, a special niece that was her caregiver and that she thought of as a daughter Melissa Robinson, her brother Willie D. Gay, her sister Nellie G. Hill, eight grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. Family and friends will meet at the graveside there will be no visitation at the funeral home. Thomas L.
