On Thursday, October 15, 2020, Eugene (Gene) Williams loving husband, father, and grandfather went home to be with the Lord at the age of 78. Gene was born on April 10, 1942 in Westminster, South Carolina to James Williams and Ruth Hamby. He spent most of his early years and into early adulthood in Newton Grove, North Carolina. At the age of 26 he made Augusta, Georgia his new home. While working at Murray Biscuit/Keebler he met his wife, Deborah Williams, of 27 years. Together they have one daughter, Gina Williams, and two stepchildren. Gene had a deep love for bass fishing. He also enjoyed spending many summers camping with family and friends. Gene was preceded in death by his father James, mother Ruth, and sister Ann. He is survived by his wife Debbie, daughter Gina, two stepchildren Jennifer Carpenter and Mark Dixon, and grandchildren Britteny, Summer, Logan, and Hadley Grace. He is also survived by his brother Dean Barefoot.  Funeral services will be held Monday October 19, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Thomas L. King Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Thomas L. King Funeral Home and Cremation Service
