Eric Sommer passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025.

Born to parents Wolfgang and Nancy Sommer in Phoenix, AZ. Graduate of North Augusta High School, Class of 1987.   Eric grew up in North Augusta, South Carolina and Augusta, GA, and spent much of his adulthood in Greenville, South Carolina.

Eric loved games and gaming of all sorts, going to concerts,and was a passionate cat rescuer.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Sara Grove Hof and is survived by mother, Nancy Phillips and sister Amy Grove, as well as his Aunt, Uncles, cousins, niece and nephews. He will be missed by his family and many good friends. He passed away peacefully in his sleep due to heart complications.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on August 10, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Mosaic Church Evans with Christopher Goss officiating. A celebration of life gathering will be held on August 15, 2025 from 5:00 until 9:00 PM at Back to Nature Garden Center, 1815 Kissingbower Rd. Augusta GA 30904.
