Eric Marshall Brickey, 28, peacefully entered into rest on Friday, August 5, 2022. Eric was born on September 21, 1993, in Augusta, Georgia. He graduated from Evans High School in 2012 and was in the midst of pursuing a career in business management. Eric was a devoted son, beloved brother, uncle, and friend. He had a natural ability to make others laugh and willingly helped someone in need.  He will be fondly remembered for his kind heart and gentle nature. He enjoyed listening to music, playing video games, spending time with friends and family, working out at the gym, and taking long walks with his cherished dog, Kota.  He took great pride in his creative cooking skills and delighted in sharing his delicious creations.  He was an avid and highly skilled disc golf player.  The memory of Eric's quick wit, quirkiness and unique sense of style will always be cherished by his family and friends. He is survived by his Mother, Sandy Brickey of Augusta, GA; Sister, Sheena Dyches (Kevin) of Augusta, GA; Grandmother, Dorothy Brickey of Saltville, VA; Aunts, Lisa Rolen and Tine (Mike) Wassum of Saltville, VA; Nephews, Griffin Branson and Porter Dyches; Nieces, Jayden Branson, Hannah, Addison, and Lyla Dyches; and many more dearly loved extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his Father, Marshall "Bud" Brickey of Saltville, VA; Grandfathers, Robert Schueler of Chicago, IL and Edward Brickey of Saltville, VA; Grandmother, Chen Su Miller of Taipei, Taiwan; Aunts, Susan Harden and Sally Crouch of Augusta, GA; and Uncle, Bob Brickey of Saltville, VA.

The family will receive friends for a Celebration of Life Visitation from 5:00pm - 7:00pm on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Thomas L. King Funeral Home, 124 Davis Road, Martinez, Georgia 30907.
