Emily Grace Zavala (Eli), beloved daughter of Janet Majewski and H. Zavala tragically passed away on December 3, 2021 at her home in Grovetown.

She is survived by her mother, Janet Majewski, of Grovetown, her sister Sara (David) Majewski of Grovetown, her brother Joel (Stephanie) Majewski of Orlando, and another brother, Sergio Zavala of Matthews. She is also survived by her beloved nieces Lauren Braxton (12), Annabelle Brown (17), and Quinn Majewski (5).

Emily loved to express herself artistically. She painted, she designed clothing and costumes, and she loved animals. Emily would stand up for people often and truly advocated against bullying or discrimination. She is described by her teachers and peers as a very sweet and respectful young lady.

We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support we've gotten in the CSRA and by those who happen to live far away but can understand the hurt Emily felt then and her mother feels now.

Her story had a sad ending and we hope it helps someone to speak out or ask for help. We hope she will be remembered as the happy, weird, silly, beautiful, kind, determined, and loyal young woman she was before she fell into depression and desperation.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday December 10, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Thomas L. King Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Brent Mayes officiating.
