Emily E. Barden, 82, entered into rest on Wednesday, July 13th, 2022.

Emily was preceded in death by her parents, Embree and Idell Sumner. She is survived by her husband, Eugene Barden; four children, Curtis "Hank" Barden (Shannon), Sharon Crawford (Henry), Richard Barden (Julie), and Gregg Westbrook (Ashley); five grandchildren, Alison Beard (Rick), Brandon Barden (Lauren), Shari Vautrin (Will), Kelli Barden, and Richard Barden Jr; five great-grandchildren, Evan, Easton, Riley, Harper, and Londyn; and three sisters, Jemy Lowe, June Smith, and Brenda Ciccio.

A funeral service to celebrate Mrs. Barden's life will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, July 15, 2022, in the Chapel at Thomas L. King Funeral Home, 124 Davis Road, Martinez, Georgia 30907, with Rev. Jerry Price officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Interment will immediately follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 2700 Deans Bridge Road, Augusta, GA 30906.

Pallbearers will be Richard "Buster" Barden, William Vautrin, Rick Beard, Gregg Westbrook, Faron Goodwin, and Brandon Barden.
