Elizabeth Rivas, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on April 12, 2026. Born on February 14, 1951, Elizabeth dedicated her life to her family, faith, and community, leaving behind a legacy marked by love, dedication, and an unyielding spirit.

Elizabeth was known to all who knew her as the most amazing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother—a title she carried with immense pride and grace. Her strength of character was deeply rooted in her strong faith, which guided her throughout her life and served as a foundation for the countless lives she touched. Beyond her spiritual devotion, Elizabeth was renowned as the best pastry chef, delighting friends and family with her culinary talents. Her kitchen was a place of warmth and joy, where her creations became cherished memories.

Education held a special place in Elizabeth’s heart. She valued learning immensely and was always encouraging those around her to pursue knowledge and personal growth. 

Elizabeth is survived by her loving daughters, Berteliz Hernandez and Aracelis A. Hernandez; her cherished grandchildren, Sixto Hernandez, Michael Staples, and Julius Staples; her great-grandchildren—Karter, Kyrie, and Genesis; and her sisters, Herminia Diaz and Ileana Rivas.
