Edwin Hernandez, 71, entered into rest due to complications of heart failure at Piedmont Hospital in Augusta, Georgia, on Friday, March 31, 2023. He was attended by his loving wife, daughters and grandchildren.

Edwin is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Elizabeth Rivas; brothers, Rafael Hernandez and Diego Hernandez; sister, Nilda and Pura Hernandez (Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico); daughters, Aracelis A. Hernandez and Berteliz  Hernandez; grandchildren,  Sixto Hernandez, Michael Staples, and Julius Staples; great-grandchildren; Karter, Kyrie, and Genesis;  goddaughter, Sarah; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful friends. A service will be held at a later time.
