Mr. Earnest Boatright, beloved husband of Mrs. Joanne Boatright of Martinez, Georgia., went home to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on Monday, December 4, 2023 at 12:45 p.m. after an extended illness at the age of 86.

Mr. Earnest Boatright was born in Vidalia, Georgia, to the late Jim and Carrie Boatright. He was a professional musician and performed until he fell ill. He loved to play guitar, sing, and play the drums.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Earnest Boatright was preceded in death by his brother, Mr. Larry Boatright; his son, Gerald Boatright; his daughter, Wanda Butler; and his great-grandson, Jared Bryce Driver. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mrs. Joanne Boatright; his daughter, Connie (Ed) Driver; his son, Gregory (Kelli) Boatright; ten grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, December 7, 2023, in the chapel at Thomas L. King Funeral Home, 124 Davis Road, Martinez GA 30907, with Pastors Randy and Mary Byrd officiating, and with interment immediately following at West View Cemetery, 2051 Division Street, Augusta GA 30904. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service time.

Mr. Boatright's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
